KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and submit accurate rate quotations.
- Analyze customer requirements and determine the most cost-effective shipping solutions.
- Ensure quotations comply with company margin guidelines and market competitiveness.
- Liaise and negotiate rates with shipping lines, airlines, trucking providers, and overseas agents.
- Monitor and update carrier rates to maintain up-to-date pricing databases.
- Track and analyze market trends, competitor rates, and seasonal rate fluctuations.
- Recommend pricing adjustments to maintain competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to understand client needs and tailor proposals.
- Communicate rate validity, surcharges, and terms clearly to clients and internal teams.
- Maintain pricing records, rate sheets, and carrier agreements.
- Generate pricing-related reports and provide data analysis for management decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Customs Administration or equivalent (required)
- At least 3 years of experience in freight forwarding/ brokerage pricing, sales support, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other data management tools.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
