KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and submit accurate rate quotations.
  • Analyze customer requirements and determine the most cost-effective shipping solutions.
  • Ensure quotations comply with company margin guidelines and market competitiveness.
  • Liaise and negotiate rates with shipping lines, airlines, trucking providers, and overseas agents.
  • Monitor and update carrier rates to maintain up-to-date pricing databases.
  • Track and analyze market trends, competitor rates, and seasonal rate fluctuations.
  • Recommend pricing adjustments to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to understand client needs and tailor proposals.
  • Communicate rate validity, surcharges, and terms clearly to clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain pricing records, rate sheets, and carrier agreements.
  • Generate pricing-related reports and provide data analysis for management decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Customs Administration or equivalent (required)
  • At least 3 years of experience in freight forwarding/ brokerage pricing, sales support, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other data management tools.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
