KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department for Realty Industry, which consists of 10-12 companies (operating and non-operating), including:
    • month and year-end activities;
    • accounts payable/receivable management;
    • general ledger accounting;
    • recurring expenses;
    • profit and loss analysis;
    • capital assets monitoring;
    • balance sheet reconciliation;
    • tax fillings and BIR audit handling
  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly / quarterly / yearly financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting principles and standards.
  • Ensure compliance to all government agencies such as but not limited to: BIR, SEC, and LGU’s.
  • Update the team on relevant BIR rules and regulations.
  • Monitor service agreements and lease contracts for leased properties particularly advance rentals and security deposits.
  • Initiate process improvements, implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • External audit management and timely release of AFS for Realty Industry.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and implement changes as necessary to ensure compliance.
  • Overall management and development of team members.
  • Ensure proper and complete archiving of accounting documents.
  • Submit reports to Controller / CEO about:
    • Monthly and Comparative Financial Statements every 15th of the month
    • Daily Cash Collection Report for One Storage every business working days
    • Management reports
  • Ensure that the Core values of the company is being observed by the team in doing their tasks at all times.
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Controller.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (CPA preferred)
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience in supervisory/ managerial level, preferably in a group or multi-entity setup
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience in handling audits and statutory compliance
  • Proficient in accounting systems and MS Excel
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
