| Key Responsibilities: • Prepare, file, and review customs documentation for imports, ensuring compliance with Philippine Customs and related laws. • Classify imported goods correctly (HS codes), including advising clients on tariff classifications and duty/tax implications. • Liaise with Bureau of Customs, other government agencies, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and clients to ensure clearances are processed efficiently. • Monitor regulatory developments (tariffs, customs rules, Philippine trade laws) and advise clients of changes. • Calculate and advise clients on duties, taxes, fees, and import charges. • Check accuracy of declarations, invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc. • Handle queries and audits from customs or government agencies. • Maintain records of import transactions; ensure compliance with audit requirements. • Coordinate with logistics, warehousing, and finance teams to ensure smooth movement of goods. • Resolve discrepancies in shipments, documentation, or classification. |
| Qualifications / Requirements: • Must be a Licensed Customs Broker (valid license in the Philippines). • Strong knowledge of HS tariff codes, customs valuation, import/export laws, rules of origin, and trade facilitation policies. • Good communication skills (both written and verbal) for dealing with clients and government agencies. • Attention to detail; strong analytical skills. • Proficiency with relevant customs software systems and MS Office |
